Replacing long fortnightly meetings with daily ‘ping pong’ gives clients more involvement in the design process, says Pedro Roos

As someone whose day normally starts at 5.10am so I can catch a train to London, the idea of a lie-in is always enticing. I never thought it would be an international pandemic that would give me an extra half-hour in bed.

Working from home isn’t unusual for my practice, PDP London. Several members of staff do it on set days, a routine we are all used to. However, having everyone working remotely presented us with new challenges. One of these was maintaining client relationships and ensuring the progression of work.

To my surprise, lockdown has revealed things to me about how we work with clients and what we could change for the better.
